Subject Offerings
- A three year degree or diploma approved by the Faculty.

- Note: This course does not lead to teacher registration.

18 months to 3 years full-time; 3 to 6 years part-time.
The Master of Education by course work consists of a thirty-six unit program of study. The degree may be completed entirely by subjects, or it may include a combination of subjects and a 9-unit dissertation. Further information on the dissertation is given in the publication "Guidelines for thesis, dissertation, and individual subjects in postgraduate education studies" which is available from the School of Education.
A candidate who enrols in the Master of Education, and who accrues two years of full-time (or equivalent) professional experience approved by the Faculty, may be granted advanced standing of twelve units.
Mode of Study
With the exception of a small number of subjects which involve compulsory vacation school (block mode), as indicated in the subject descriptions, subjects are offered in external (distance) mode, and do not require attendance at the University.
